I am Not a Mad Cow

“I am Not a Mad Cow”
(Sung by Tippy Cow while hiding under her pink hoodie.)

I’m not a mad cow
Despite what they may write.
I’m just congealed dreams
Speckled black and white.

I love sunlight and daisies
And butterflies drifting by.
I hear music in my head
Like the winds soft sigh.

But a cow can’t play a ukulele with hoofs like these.
So I close my eyes and wait for the symphony of a breeze.

I’m not a mad cow
Despite what the doctors write.
I’m just congealed dreams
Speckled black and white.

Tippy wrote two songs called “Superglue and Seashells” and “You Won’t See Me” that inspired Kerry and I so much and helped me understand her inner black and white cow. She loves dancing in the field with plush.
